Descripción
Lucifer is a growth-regulating insecticide that interferes with metamorphosis at the chitin synthesis level. Its mode of action is specific for arthropods, inhibiting larval growth, especially Lepidoptera and Coleoptera. In some species of insects, it has ovicidal action.
It has a weak contact action and does not affect adults since only immature stages (larvae and nymphs) form chitin. Lucifer shows excellent selectivity towards beneficial insects.
This insecticide is not systemic. However, it has excellent residual action on the aerial parts of the plants. Organophosphate and pyrethroid-resistant insects are well controlled with this product.
